Aaron Carr

A lifelong resident of Hillsborough and a proud graduate of Orange High School, Aaron’s heart has always been for his hometown. While studying Education at UNC Charlotte, his life was transformed when he was called to follow Jesus through the ministry of Campus Outreach.

Before entering vocational ministry, Aaron spent over 20 years serving Christ in the public school system as a middle school math teacher and a coach for football and wrestling. His classroom was his mission field, where he led small-group Bible studies and partnered with FCA and Young Life to reach students. In 2022, Aaron retired from teaching to pursue full-time ministry, earning his Master of Theology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 2025. Now ordained in the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, he is honored to serve as Pastor of Grace Hill Church.

Aaron is married to his best friend, Hope, and they have two sons, Josiah and Eli, along with their bulldog, McGregor. When he’s not at the church, you can find him lifting weights, coaching wrestling, or enjoying a book on his front porch. He’s a dedicated fan of the Atlanta Braves and the New York Giants—and he’s always up for a conversation.
